Accounting Director Or Manager

Job Title: Accounting Manager OR Accounting Director (Dependent upon experience level)

Location: Remote (Operations are on PST in CA)

Client: Private equity backed SaaS company

Compensation: $140-170K annual base salary plus bonus (10-20%), equity, and benefits

This private equity-backed software company has been growing exponentially year over year. Investments have been made to maximize the scalability of the accounting function. This position will have an opportunity to broaden their skill set and collaborate with management across all functions on managing growth responsibility.

Scope of Position / Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the CFO as part of a 3-person team, this position will have 1 direct report and will be responsible for overseeing day to day accounting operations and systems, interpreting, and analyzing accounting data and technical accounting procedures and policies.

• Establish proper accounting methods, policies and principles
• Provide ad hoc financial and analytic support to support management and/or external audit requests
• Manage and perform the monthly and financial close process
• Research technical accounting and reporting issues
• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including AP, AR, revenue recognition, cash payments/receipts, fixed assets, and general ledger
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, annual financial reports
• Support the annual budget and forecast process

Qualifications

• Experience with some sort of ERP system (NetSuite preferred)
• Detail oriented, with exceptional organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Active CPA certification
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Minimum 5 years (Manager level) or 8 years (Director level) of accounting experience, including a combination of public accounting and private industry
• Minimum Bachelor's degree (advanced degree preferred)
• Proficiency with MS Excel
• Experience supporting the SaaS or technology industry
