Accounting Intern

The Environmental Project Controls Department at POWER Engineers, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Intern. This opportunity offers the ability to work a hybrid workstyle or can work remotely from any location in the U.S. (Please note where you will be located in the application). The candidate selected for this position may work remotely full-time at a location other than a POWER-designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a POWER office for periodic meetings.

Roles and Responsibilities

Job duties include basic budgeting knowledge, data entry, project filing, and all aspects of document control such as transmitting deliverables, logging and tracking incoming and outgoing documents, maintaining and archiving electronic files, attending meetings, taking minutes, and assisting the departments and project team as needed. The ideal candidate has basic accounting knowledge and is able to interact with key members of the project team.

Required Education/Experience

• Pursuit of a bachelors or masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good writing skills
• Good knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Access, and Outlook)
• Strong organization and customer service skills

The ideal candidate would be a self-starter and team player, able to work within the structure of established procedures and processes. Relevant experience includes accounting clerk, bookkeeper, office manager, and general clerical duties.

Desired Education/Experience

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, or similar ERP is a plus
