Accounting Human Resources Manager

ACCOUNTING/ HR MANAGER


· Management oversight of all functions of Accounts payable/ receivables, general ledger, and taxes
· Process vendor payments
· All receivables entered and tied to bank account
· Process payroll
· Work with HR 3rd party providers
· New employee hire/ termination data entry
· Employee file updates and retention
· Reconcile bank statements monthly
· Prepare financials on monthly basis
· Prepare sales tax return for state of Texas
· Reconcile accounts at end of year for CPA (CPA provides final trial balance figures, franchise taxes and corporate income taxes)
· Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements
· Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
· Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting

Accounts Payable Oversight:
Invoicing and statements
Reconcile Vendor statements
Texas sales and resale use tax certificates
W9 forms
Credit Applications
COI Documentation
Price, quantity and delivery method of invoice
Communication with Purchasing dept (order status, price changes, PO changes)
System and pricing verification
Transportation delivery route appropriately billed, and invoice reflects accordingly
Accurate invoice data entry
ACH remittance notifications
Mail check to vendors
Maintaining updated vendor info
Fiscal year files and documentation upkeep
Office management responsibilities



Accounts Receivable Oversight:
Invoice shipments
Sales invoice file backups
Sending original invoices to customers for payment
Credit returns (CM/DM)
Customer communication
Damages or lost shipment credits
Freight claims
Processing of credit card payments/ sending receipts to customers
ACH payments, credit card payments, mail checks
Reconciliation
Short pay notifications
W9, resale certificates request and administration
End of month Credit card payments
Texas sales tax
Customer charges

Qualifications:
· Analytical skills
· Bookkeeping/ General ledger experience
· Experience in management, accounting, or related field
· Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
· Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles
· Exceptional mathematical skills
· Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of organization
· Knowledge of employee building and performance management techniques
· Advanced Microsoft Office skills. Experience with financial systems
