OVERVIEW
POPLIFE is expanding its Client Service team to hire an experienced Account Director (AD) representing a major alcohol beverage supplier. The AD must have a proven track record in leading teams through a combination of strategy, program development and planning to execute a range of experiential programming and other consumer or trade event activity. The Account Director will be responsible for strategic, senior-level client relationships, acting as a thought leader and problem solver. They should be a cultural insider with agency experience across (lifestyle, spirits, F&B brands), and a solid understanding of the current experiential landscape, as well as emerging spirits and cocktail trends. In this role, you should be collaborative leader with effective communication skills who can manage multiple projects at once. Often wearing multiple hats you must be able to slide between production and account management. Your goal will be to ensure high-quality service to our clients and that you manage your projects effectively and profitably.
GENERAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
● Lead all experiential activations for Client’s business
● Oversee program execution including Large-Scale Events, Trade Advocacy, Cocktail Development, On & Off-Premise Sampling events, etc.
● Lead Analysis and Optimization of assigned programs
● Lead coordination between all agency departments – Strategy, Creative, Production
● Assist with event logistics, including site visits, run of show, event schedules, staffing plans, etc.
● Develop workback timelines with clients to ensure program deliverables stay on track and overall satisfaction
● Provide strategic insight to clients’ programs pushing back with logic when needed
● Identify, hire, train necessary resources of various capabilities to successfully produce programs
● Development of program materials (Concept Decks, Playbooks, Training Manuals etc)
● Ensure financial oversight over all assigned program budgets including P&L review
● Maintain appropriate communication with clients and vendors, through weekly conference calls and status reports ● Analysis and reporting of all program results, KPIs, budget and performance
● Attend and help execute activations when necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
● 8+ years of experience in experiential marketing, Spirits (Bev/Alc) category experience is a plus
● Willing to travel 25% with occasional nights and weekend work based on event schedule
● Experience leading a team including cross departmental communication experience
● Excellent public speaking, written, verbal communication skills; experience with MS Office and Google Platforms
● Ability to multi-task with exceptional attention to detail, follow through and ability to manage deadlines
● Demonstrate solution based thinking when addressing challenges, execute problem solving skills and follow up
● Must be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record
COMPENSATION: $90,000 - $100,000 USD – Commensurate to experience and location
