PathMatch is a Career Navigation App for Students and Recruiting Platform for Employers.Our client is a diversified company primarily specializing in financial and real estate services for institutional and corporate customers. The summer analyst program is scheduled to begin in June 2024 in New York City and will run for 10 weeks.
Responsibilities:
The Investment Banking Group covers a wide variety of sectors, junior bankers are generalists, meaning that once you've completed your training, you'll have the opportunity to work on projects across all different industry verticals and products. Throughout your internship, you will be involved in tasks such as pitches, live deals, and other long-term projects supporting our client calling efforts. Whenever possible, interns may have the opportunity to participate in client meetings in the tristate area. The intention is for you to be exposed to the exact kind of work and assignments that full-time analysts see on a regular basis. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Gaining familiarity with different valuation methods, including DCF and LBO analysis.
- Learning how to put together a company overview, annotated stock price chart, and Wall Street analyst summary.
- Preparing offering memoranda along with other written materials, including memoranda to senior management.
- Conducting client due diligence.
- Assisting in the selection of appropriate trading comps and precedents, as well as learning how to spread a trading comp.
Qualifications:
All undergraduate students, regardless of major or area of study, with a minimum GPA of 3.2 and an anticipated graduation date between December 2023 and June 2024 are invited to apply. Typical candidates have the following qualifications:
- Previous internships in a professional services or financial services industry.
- Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to take instruction and run with projects.
- The ability to work in a team environment but also thrive in an entrepreneurial culture.
- Outstanding interpersonal and presentation skills Self-starters who display initiative, drive, motivation, and leadership.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
