2024 Commercial Banking Insight Programs


The Commercial Banking Insights Programs is designed to attract undergraduates who are interested in early exposure to financial services careers and committed to the advancement of individuals from underrepresented groups in this industry. The Commercial Banking Insights Programs are seeking undergraduate students, including, without limitation, Black, Hispanic & Latino, and/or Female students, who are interested in exploring career opportunities at JPMorgan Chase. We are looking for dynamic individuals from diverse backgrounds and perspectives to help us grow and position our businesses for the future. All undergraduate students who are interested in the CB Insights Programs, regardless of background, are welcome to apply.


The Commercial Banking Insights Programs include virtual conferences with business specific overviews and networking, followed by interviews. Participants will be provided with an introduction to financial services and the firm. They will be exposed to our senior leaders and have an opportunity to learn about our businesses, build professional development skills, and gain insight into how their diverse backgrounds and perspectives as financial services professionals might positively impact the future of people's lives, the firm and our industry.

What To Expect


The goal of our program is to prepare you to interview for our 2024 Commercial Banking Innovation Development Summer Analyst Program. As part of the conference, we will offer a variety of components from education about affinity groups, to geographic and program overviews, along with networking opportunities with senior leaders, and advice on the interview process from our campus recruitment team.


Commercial Banking is focused on helping our clients succeed and making a positive difference in our communities. We provide credit and financing, treasury and payment services, international banking and real estate services to clients including corporations, municipalities, institutions, real estate investors and owners, and nonprofit organizations.


Innovation Development Summer Analyst Program


The Innovation Development Program (IDP) focuses on building the next generation of innovators and disruptors, creating a long lasting and positive impact, and developing innovative solutions to complex problems within Commercial Banking line of business.


The Innovation Development Program supports CB in a truly unique way - through rotational opportunities across functional, business, and product teams such as Strategy, Digital, Client Transformation, Product Innovation, Marketing, and Business Architecture. The impact you'll deliver as part of this program will significantly enhance a broad range of products and processes that drive value for our businesses and clients.

You'll be placed on a high-impact team for the summer, where you'll work across one or more core disciplines:


  • Product management : Support the build, launch, and delivery of products to solve customer challenges
  • Transformation & execution : Design new customer value propositions and help deliver a best-in-class client experience
  • Process and change management : Re-engineer critical processes and help lead key organizational and change initiatives
  • Data, technology & systems : Leverage data and platforms to drive decision-making and improve business architecture
  • Project-based strategy: Develop recommendations to improve the bank's operational and financial performance


While day-to-day activities will vary based upon your team, you can expect to take on a combination of mission-critical responsibilities, including combining strategic thinking and quantitative analysis to answer business questions, presenting and communicating findings to key stakeholders, building a deep knowledge of our business and products, and leveraging an innovation mindset to design client experiences and solutions.

Who We Are Seeking


We are seeking students who are currently enrolled, in good standing, at accredited universities in the U.S., with an expected graduation date of December 2024 - Spring 2025, with:


  • Basic understanding of financial services
  • Ability to think critically and analyze data
  • Eagerness to learn and develop
  • Bachelors or Masters Degree
  • Fluency in English
  • Attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Strong collaboration skills
