Job Description
Job Title: Consumer Insight Senior Analyst


Department Overview: Understanding consumers and exceeding guest expectations is core to the success of Walt Disney Parks, Experiences & Products. This team champions integrated, holistic consumer insights that keep guests at the heart of decisions and positively influence business performance. We design, interpret, and share primary research that enables better decisions by driving company-wide understanding of consumer mindsets, motivations, expectations, and experiences.


Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include designing and executing end-to-end custom primary research studies using a variety of methodologies such as: surveys, focus groups, in-depth interviews, online panels, diary studies, usability, etc. then interpreting those results to influence business decisions. This role would primarily support Qualitative research efforts focused on existing DPEP products and services, responsible for all aspects of research studies commissioned—from conception to scope to design to field to report, analysis and presentation. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, effectively manage multiple studies and deadlines simultaneously, and prioritize projects working in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, with minimal support from leadership.


This role will be located in Anaheim, California.


Basic Qualifications: These are the minimum qualifications you need to be considered for this position:


  • Curious nature and passion for understanding the ‘what’ and ‘why’
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Must be willing to travel (:10% of time in an average work year)
  • Experience professionally moderating consumer focus groups and in-depth interviews
  • Translate data and analysis into compelling presentations / written communications
  • Experience managing end-to-end custom qualitative research studies
  • Comfortable approaching and talking with consumers and Disney guests
  • Experience building relationships with internal partners/stakeholders
  • Experience with both quantitative and qualitative research methodologies
  • Experience sharing a point of view with internal partners/stakeholders verbally and in written form
  • Strong strategic and analytical skills
  • 2-5 years market research experience


Preferred Qualifications:


  • RIVA Trained Moderator or similar
  • Experience with video editing software (Adobe Premier, iMovie, etc.)
  • Expertise with a statistical package (SAS, SPSS)
  • Experience partnering and managing external vendors


Required Education:


Degree in market research, marketing, sociology, business, or similar


The hiring range for this position in California is $84,460 to $113,300 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
