KKR Americas Private Equity Consumer Investment Team

Menlo Park, CA

A Private Equity Analyst will be integrally involved with all aspects of the private equity investment process, including: evaluating potential investments; performing due diligence; structuring and closing transactions; interfacing with and assisting portfolio companies; exiting investments; and interacting with management teams. An Analyst will work within the Consumer industry vertical and will interact closely with other KKR businesses such as the Client and Partner Group, KKR Capstone, KKR Capital Markets, KKR Global Macro, Balance Sheet and Risk and KKR Credit. KKR’s Americas Consumer Private Equity team is based in Menlo Park, CA and invests across the consumer landscape, including consumer products, consumer services, consumer internet, hospitality/travel/leisure and industry enablers.

An Analyst will benefit from a 3-week comprehensive training program in addition to on-the-job training and development. An Analyst will also participate in a week-long, firm-wide global Analyst and Associate orientation to meet peers across the firm and learn more about each of our businesses.

Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the development of and monitoring operational initiatives within portfolio companies
• Learning and following the dynamics of the consumer industry
• Drafting and presenting oral and written materials to management and investors
• Managing the due diligence process, including overseeing commercial, accounting, tax, and legal diligence advisors
• Identifying attractive investment themes and opportunities
• Extensive analysis on potential investments, including in-depth financial modeling
• Building relationships within the firm and with management teams, as well as with external advisors and industry experts
• Monitoring and reporting on portfolio company performance

This is the expected annual base salary range for this Menlo Park-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.

Base Salary Range

$100,000—$110,000 USD
