Roth Capital Partners, LLC (ROTH MKM) is looking for an Investment Banking Analyst or a Senior Investment Banking Analyst to join our Technology Team. ROTH MKM is a relationship-driven investment bank focused on serving growth companies and their investors. In addition to capital markets and M&A advisory services, our full-service platform provides a variety of capital markets solutions, including high impact equity research, macroeconomic perspectives, sales and trading, technical insights, derivatives strategies and corporate access. Investment Banking Analysts are an important part of deal teams, work closely with senior-level bankers, and are responsible for assisting in the execution and origination of M&A and capital raising transactions for public and private companies. Our entrepreneurial culture provides Analysts with the opportunity to make significant contributions to engagements with exposure to live deals and on the job learning experience. The in-person role will be located in the firm’s Newport Beach, CA or New York City office.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare comprehensive information packages, pitchbooks, information memoranda, management presentations, and marketing materials;
- Prepare portions or more of technology industry reports;
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Search, collect, consolidate, and interpret company and industry data;
- Provide administrative support to senior bankers as required; and
- Develop valuation analyses and models (projections, LBO, DCF, public comparables, historical M&A transactions, etc.), including the use of proprietary financial models and databases to create charts, dashboards and supporting material;
- Organize, review and analyze due diligence processes and materials;
Qualifications:
- Ability to work effectively with minimal direction under tight deadlines and multiple priorities, while maintaining a keen attention to detail;
- Excellent analytical skills and understanding of relevant financial and accounting principles;
- Strong proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and similar software applications;
- Comfortable with client interaction;
- Fast learner, self-motivated, organized, and willing to work within a flexible, demanding, and fast paced environment; and
- Ability to write clearly, concisely with speed and precision;
- Ability to express ideas effectively and fluently;
- Outstanding academic credentials with a Bachelor’s Degree in related areas of study including Business, Finance, Economics and/or Accounting.
Salary Range: 65,000+ (DOE) base plus discretionary bonus.
