2023 Fall Marketing Data Insights Internship

The Raymond James Marketing Insights & Technology team is offering a research and analysis-based internship designed for a business, economics, or mathematics student. This program is intended to provide students with the opportunity to contribute to a large corporation's strategic competitive intelligence and marketing research efforts using a range of tools. The student will participate in a diverse set of projects, including the observation and analysis of competitor firms, maintenance of a competitive intelligence library, database enrichment, data mining, and survey design and analysis. These research tasks, yielding data-driven insights, will help to inform various business decisions including client insights studies, advisor insights, advisor recruiting, pricing models, and client profitability research. High potential candidates must demonstrate excellent academic performance, but direct experience in marketing research or the financial services industry is not required.

Qualifications
Knowledge of:

• Experience working in SQL preferred
• Basic concepts, practices, and procedures of project management
• Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Skill in:

• Organization, planning, and time management
• Exercising judgment and self-direction to independently complete projects
• Business and communication skills sufficient to work in a professional environment

Ability to:

• Read, interpret, analyze, and apply information from a variety of sources, with emphasis on attention to detail
• Learn new software tools and systems thoroughly and efficiently
• Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with individuals at all organizational levels
• Learn new procedures independently and accurately in order to complete assigned tasks
• Exercise initiative and problem-solving skills to independently resolve issues
• Work across functional areas and with teams as well as independently to accomplish objectives
• Organize, self-manage, and track multiple detailed projects and responsibilities with frequently changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment
• Provide the highest level of customer service

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements
***Must be currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program***

• GPA– minimum 3.5 preferred
• Must submit a cover letter expressing your interest in Raymond James Marketing
• Undergraduate student (junior/senior preferably), set to graduate in July 2023 or later.
• Pursuing a degree in marketing, finance, decision sciences, management information systems, business, or any related arts or sciences field (economics, psychology, mathematics, statistics, etc.)
