Job Description

Good strategy is more important than ever. We are looking for a resourceful Strategy Intern, who understands digital/social platforms and formats, and can synthesize data and information into useful summaries to inform strategy development.

Details:

  • Full-time (40hrs/week)
  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. ET
  • Open to recent college graduates and graduate school students
  • Open to remote candidates
  • Paid Internship: $22.50/hr, $25.00/hr for those who have earned a bachelor's or master's degree
  • Internship begins September 11, 2023 and will go through December 21, 2023


Day-to-day responsibilities and learning opportunities will include:

Creative Strategy

  • Think digital-first (understands digital/social platforms and formats, current and emerging behaviors)
  • Stay on top industry trends: marketing, communication, technology, consumer and cultural trends
  • Assist with research and analysis to prepare client-facing POVs, thought-leadership and reports on client business information, industry trends, influencer content performance, social/web content performance, media coverage, and competitive set
  • Provide audits (audience audit, competitive audit, trend audit, content audit, channel audit)
  • Have digital/social experience (knowledge in owned and paid social, community management, managing assets, working with influencers)
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team and other departments including other strategists, creatives, and account teams to create high-impact work that solves client and customer challenges
  • Ability to clearly distill research, programming/content performance, and client business knowledge in order to highlight relevant and actionable data/results, insights, themes, and trends in presentations, strategic briefs, and reports


Communication and Storytelling

  • Writes, presents, and communicates in a polished, articulate, and persuasive manner
  • Understands how to leverage and integrate data to tell a cohesive story and/or consumer journey
  • Listens well, building rapport with others through respect and responsiveness


Minimum qualifications and requirements:

  • Prior experience/internships at PR, Digital/Social, Creative agencies or relevant coursework
  • Basic knowledge and experience with tools such as Crimson Hexagon, Zignal, Brandwatch, eMarketer, Helixa, CubeYou Cision, Muckrack, Meltwater, Mintel MRI/Simmons, Sprinklr, and/or others
  • Recent graduate, or senior who can accommodate a full-time schedule (40hrs/week)
  • A good problem solver who seeks to make improvements and learns from mistakes
  • Curious and open to others' ideas and viewpoints with a willingness to learn and take constructive feedback
  • Team player who enjoys working with and helping others in a collaborative environment
  • Writes, presents, and communicates in an articulate and persuasive manner, across a variety of platforms, including social media
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, multitasking, and time-management
