Overview A Treatment Specialist is a professional who provides specialized care and support to individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues. They work with clients to develop individualized treatment plans and provide counseling, education, and support to help them achieve their goals. Treatment Specialists also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that clients receive the best possible care. Detailed Job Description A Treatment Specialist is responsible for providing comprehensive treatment services to individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues. They assess clients’ needs, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide counseling, education, and support to help them achieve their goals. Treatment Specialists also collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure that clients receive the best possible care. They may also provide referrals to other services and resources, such as support groups and community resources. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse issues
• Ability to assess client needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with a variety of clients

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field
• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred
• Licensure or certification in the field of mental health or substance abuse
• Experience working with individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues
