Leading workstreams / deliverables with oversight from Senior Management

Five 15+ years of relevant experience in or urban planning or a similar position with transferable skills

Leading design and plan production for conventional design-bid-build and/or design-build highway projects

Working with a team of engineers to develop strategies and teaming arrangements to pursue projects

Having a broad understanding of roadway design, including roadway elements, hydrology and hydraulics, traffic-related items, and highway planning.

Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field

Specialized knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position include:

Automated design and project management systems.

To prepare clear, comprehensive, and concise technical and management reports.

Knowledge of the theories, principles, practices, and techniques of engineering.

Presenting project information at public meetings and before the County's Board of Supervisors.

Minimum 3 years experience in scheduling, planning, drafting, or project management

Track and oversee Management of Change to minimize rework and impact to schedules and overall lead time

Business degree specialization, master’s in business, project management, supply chain master or specialization, or Licenciatura

Manage all date requests from inside and outside sales on current and pre-committed orders

Effective written and verbal communication as well as mathematical and basic computer skills

Advise Sales and Customer Services regarding Engineering schedule and available resources to facilitate optimal schedule to ensure customer satisfaction

Become conversant in existing technologies within UDOT, including fiber, traffic signal systems, ITS systems, and traffic management hardware and software.

Assist with the management of federal grants.

Will have at least two years of experience in areas related to the job duties listed above.

Explain the benefits of successful technologies, promote their use, interact with potential partners and encourage their involvement.

Will have a Bachelor's degree, or higher, in a related field OR equivalent experience.

This position is eligible for remote work, based on supervisor approval. Remote work must be within Utah.

Effectively communicate both verbally and in writing with project stakeholders as needed with concerns to the project requirements.

Perform additional assignments, as directed by the Transportation Engineering Manager.

5+ years of experience in roadway design – preferred

AutoCAD Civil 3D experience - required

INDOT roadway design experience – preferred

Good written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.

5+ years of experience professional experience leading the management of projects

Elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other internal departments

As a Project Manager, your responsibilities include:

Manage a staff of engineers and technicians and assign workloads

Excellent communication and delegation skills

Ability to manage and mentor a team

Identify transactions and tasks that require special handling, recommend improved processes to management and implement resolutions within assigned scope of responsibility

Comprehend the full range of freight forwarding services: order management, movement scheduling, customs brokerage, monitor and control services, cost optimization, etc.

Act as the transportation knowledge center for the entire Alfa Laval organization

Evaluate development proposals to identify compliance with zoning regulations.

Prepare planning and land use studies.

Collaborate with Finance Dept. to finalize budgets

Organize general contractors and millwork contractors bidding, evaluate tender documents and offers and coordinate works assignment

Manage all Direct Vendor orders

5 years of relevant working experience
