Technical Systems Brewer Jobs

Bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, or food sciences preferred +7 years brewing experience, or equivalent related experience.

Internationally recognized Brewing Science degree or certification preferred.

Working knowledge of process analysis software tools (Tend, Insights, MES, etc.)

In depth knowledge of both theoretical and practical brewing process

Working knowledge of both basic and extraneous brewing ingredients

Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively work with co-workers across the organization.

Hands-on experience and knowledge with ServiceNow or other IT service management ticketing systems

Strong knowledge and experience with application monitoring alerts using System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) or similar tools

Demonstrated multitasking and time management skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Escalate any trending issues and/or incidents to management, Major incident, Tier 3 level support teams, or vendors when applicable

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

Must be able to analyze production reports and quality data to recognize adverse trends and be familiar with quality education requirements.

Manages brewing process governance ensures the highest quality standards

You have at least 5 years experience in in the brewing industry

Solid working knowledge of equipment with multiple logic functions and capabilities requiring specialized training.

One year of comparable brewing experience in a craft brewery preferred

Training as a Certified Brewer or Master Brewers Diploma, as well as associated industry certifications

Proficiency or education in mathematics, chemistry and microbiology

Operates and maintains racking, growler and canning equipment and generating appropriate reports

Tracks and compiles both ingredient and product inventory

2+ years of Brewing and cellaring experience

Significant knowledge of the brewing process

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

Work with Brewing, QC, and Maintenance departments to maintain our infrastructure and level of consistency and quality in the final product

Sample tanks for CO2 levels

Perform preventative maintenance on the infrastructure, report defective machine parts to the Maintenance Department and assist with major repairs

Responsibilities (but not limited to):

Previous Brewing and Cellar experience.

Brewing all beer recipes to standard

Tracking all brews and progress through Ekos Software

Perform quality checks at all parts of the brewing process.

Cleaning Tanks and Fermenters to Standard

Operate and CIP centrifuge in accordance with the SOP

Manage information accurately through EKOS brewery management software system

Lead brewing and packaging of beer, manage schedule and enforce quality standards

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Excellent organizational and planning skills

Lead Brew entire team to produce beer at required volumes and standards

Lead the team to predict and solve issues

Ensure a safe workplace for themselves and others, and communicate safety issues to upper management as they arise.

Adhere to the Quality Management System and provide inputs toward continually improving its scope and effectiveness.

Ensure short and long-term production goals, objectives, and plans are met, subject to approval by the Operations Manager or Brewing Supervisor.

Accurate data collection and recording on brewing logs.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

3+ years of experience in Agile Development as an analyst

Familiarity with requirement techniques such as informal modeling, use cases, user stories.

Experience in conceptual modeling; visualize possible solutions innovatively

Forklift experience is a plus (certification not required)
