Translator Interpreter - 8hrs (English Learner Services/ PC#253123)

Knowledge of medical terminology and experience as an interpreter in a Health System setting

Organizational skills to determine patient and workload priorities to enable completion of appointments and projects in a timely manner

Meet minimum California auto insurance requirements

Ability to orally interpret information from the target language (Spanish) into English, and from English into the target language

Ability to interact with and relate to non-English speaking persons of any background and culture with enthusiasm, professionalism and empathy

Tact and diplomacy to effectively meet the communication needs of the general public, medical staff, community, governmental agencies and internal committees

Superb organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail

Achieved or working towards a qualification in teaching/education, writing, translation or linguistics (preferred)

Fluent in English and Spanish with exceptional writing skills in both languages.

Ability to coordinate clear communications and updates to key stakeholders and manage documents for internal reference

Possess PCA, HHA or CNA license or have 6 months experience working as a caregiver (preferred but not required)
