Proven senior-level experience in a grants management capacity at a grantmaking organization (5-8 years).

Works without supervision and provides technical guidance when required on researching and recommending technical platforms related to grants management.

This position is responsible to the Director, Grants, and Contracts Management and all financial decisions and require approval.

Work closely with the federal grants practice group and litigation team to handle a variety of legal matters.

Provide compliance counseling to clients and ensure adherence to relevant federal administrative laws and regulations.

Serves as primary contact and project manager for the Nuisance Property & Abandoned Building and Vacant State Building programs.

Creates and implements a plan to disseminate guidelines to potential applicants.

Provides technical assistance to grantees, applicants and prospective applicants.

Assists with environmental review and compliance paperwork for CDBG projects.

Follows the established in-house procedure for contract and amendment review and compliance.

Throughout the project, conducts on-site monitoring to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.

A minimum of six years of progressive grants management experience in a philanthropic organization

Supports global GMs in their responsibility to onboard new program staff to grants management on their respective teams.

A baccalaureate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience

Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills and organizational capabilities

Ability to adapt to new computerized applications and changes in technology management

Familiarity with grants management software and related systems, preferably Fluxx

5+ years’ direct experience in federal government acquisition management activities or asset management requirements.

15+ years of experience with federal government acquisition management activities.

Builds, manages, and maintains a strong, qualified, and motivated team to support our customer requirements

Applies knowledge of federal procurement principles, policies, procedures, and standards to implement programmatic requirements

Performs on a team as an individual contributor with a proactive approach to project management
