Perform data updates and maintenance on Public Services asset management software.

Assist GIS Manager in designing, implementing, and making recommendations to further advance the use of GIS technology for City departments.

Assist GIS Manager with large City-wide projects that fall outside Public Services department.

Provide GIS technical assistance to all Public Service department divisions.

Provides guidance and assistance to GIS Technician within Public Services department in collecting and maintaining GIS data.

Uses geospatial data to complete tasks using knowledge of Geographical Information Systems

Proficient working knowledge of ESRI software products and tools

Create maps and exhibits; hardcopy and no-code or low-code web applications (e.g. Esri Experience Builder)

Knowledge of FEMA Risk MAP Program and/or FEMA’s CNMS

Significant knowledge of geospatial concepts and data processing techniques

Significant experience with ESRI software suite including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Enterprise

Strong data management skills including creating, editing in a multi-user environment, and GIS data conversion.

B.S. or M.S./M.A. in Geography, Geographic Information Systems, or directly-related discipline with 2-5 years of experience.

Have significant demonstrated experience with the Esri suite of software, including: Desktop: ArcPro, ArcMap, ArcCatalog.

Experience creating, publishing, and managing map services.

Experience with Python, FME a plus.

Experience setting up field teams for mobile data collection using Collector, Survey123 and GPS equipment.

Thorough knowledge of the ESRI ecosystem (ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online);

Knowledge of basic GIS concepts (mapping, GPS, GIS, data integration, coordinate systems, etc.);

Excellent analytical and reporting abilities;

Demonstrated excellence in written communication and presentation abilities

2+ years of professional experience working with GIS data and ESRI products;

2+ years of experience working in multi-discipline teams with proven ability to collaborate;

Database management in an enterprise environment

Minimum of five (5) years job-related experience; Eight (8) + preferred.

Hands-on experience with the following is preferred:

Provides GIS training and technical expertise support to department staff.

Provides project coordination for specific GIS projects and implementation of other related new systems.

Identifies areas where change, use, or increased use of GIS systems would provide increased speed, accuracy or efficiency within the divisions.
