We want individuals to join our growing North American based team to support geospatial challenges across Stantec; apply your technical experience and use of geospatial solutions to a wide spectrum of projects. As such, we have an exciting and rewarding role to join our expanding team. We are seeking to add a GIS Analyst within our Water Delivery discipline .

Your Opportunity

You will utilize geospatial technology to help our clients to meet the challenges faces within the Water industry. You will support the delivery of innovative geospatial solutions for both our internal business and our clients operating around water/wastewater, energy and resources, transportation, and environmental management.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Use geospatial technologies and analysis to creatively solve challenges for our clients.
  • Understanding of cartographic design, GIS map creation, geodatabase design, and feature/attribute editing
  • Performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned.
  • Uses geospatial data to complete tasks using knowledge of Geographical Information Systems
  • Proficient working knowledge of ESRI software products and tools
  • Create maps and exhibits; hardcopy and no-code or low-code web applications (e.g. Esri Experience Builder)

Qualifications

Your Preferred Capabilities and Credentials

  • Maintain high regard for personal safety and safety of others.
  • Ability to working in a multi office team environment.
  • Knowledge of FEMA Risk MAP Program and/or FEMA’s CNMS
  • Experience with publishing data and configuring web apps on the ArcGIS Online platform.
  • Experience creating solutions using ArcGIS platform applications including Field Maps, Survey 123, Web AppBuilder, Experience Builder, and Dashboards.
  • Ability to travel for projects and assignments; typical duration a few days including occasional overnight stays.
  • Significant experience with ESRI software suite including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, Enterprise
  • Ability to work in diverse work setting, within team environments, and independently as needed.
  • Ability to work with a variety of people and professions with tact, courtesy, and professionalism.
  • Ability to communicate clearly via, phone, instant message, email, and in person, to both internal and external clients.
  • Significant knowledge of geospatial concepts and data processing techniques
  • Understanding of Python routines using the ArcPy and ArcGIS API for Python libraries.
  • Ability to adapt to change in deadlines, project scope, and tasks.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in GIS, Geospatial Technology, Geospatial Science, Geography, or related field.
  • Position will primarily be in an office setting, with potential occasional field work.
  • Preferred 1-3 years of experience or recent graduate with applicable internship or co-op during their undergraduate program.
