Previous experience with juvenile rehabilitation and/or experience with vulnerable youth/young adults (example: group homes or transitional housing).

Previous experience with Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach with Assertive Continuing Care (A-CRA/ACC).

Min to Max Annual Salary$61,318.40 - $91,998.40 /yr

Delivers cognitive-behavioral treatment in group and individual formats per study protocol.

Participates in research team meetings and presents cases for diagnostic consensus.

Completes required documentation for assessment and treatment visits.

Coordinates with clinical research team to determine participant eligibility, schedule treatment, and facilitate referrals.

Requirements For a Behavioral Health Specialist - Behavior Analyst

- Excellent interpersonal skills, actively listening and offering solutions without passing judgment.

- Knowledge of community resources, federal/state/local assistanceprograms, housing and utility assistance, and disability benefits.

- Lived experience with substance use disorder and/or homelessness.

- 2+ years of experience working with the houselesscommunity.

- Some experience withAssertive Community Treatment orSupportive Housing interventions.

- Knowledge of HCV/HIV/pathogens and infectious diseases, substance use disorder, and Harm Reduction models and best practices.

Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm; plus some nights and weekends as needed.

This position is currently hybrid with occasional in-person meetings in Frankfort, KY.

5+ years working in a clinical setting with mental health and/or substance use disorders preferred.

Utilize knowledge of healthcare industry standards and clinical assessment and intervention skills resulting in crisis or contact resolution.

Demonstrate effective engagement skills; inspire hope and promote recovery and resiliency.

Provide health education and community resources based on the intervention provided.

Critical thinking and effective decision-making for managing high-acuity SDOH crisis requests and decision-making skills that facilitate safety and crisis resolution;

Experience with high-risk, high-acuity cases or people in SHOD crisis.

REQUIREMENTS FOR A BEHAVIORAL HEALTH SPECIALIST - BEHAVIOR ANALYST

Demonstrated knowledge of mental health and substance use community resources and providers

Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills

Connecting members to community resources and ensuring there are no barriers to their return to the community.

Maintaining effective working relationships with facility staff, outpatient providers and other community resources.

Facilitating communication between facility team, member, family and primary care team as needed.

Providing monthly aftercare reports, identifying providers that require increased communication regarding post discharge expectations

Bachelor’s degree with at least 3-5 years of experience in a government or advocacy organization setting.

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a team and across multiple disciplines within the hospital.

Organizational skills and attention to detail, including the ability to prioritize and complete various projects simultaneously.

Producing and disseminating advocacy materials to policy makers, internal audiences and partner organizations as necessary to support and advance policy agenda.

Providing administrative and organizational support to facilitate the collaboration across a broad range of stakeholders, including the Children’s Mental Health Campaign.

Representing the hospital at meetings and fostering collaboration with partner organizations and internal departments.
