Job Summary
The Institute for Biomedical Informatics is seeking a Behavior Health Specialist who will work with the Department for Medicaid Services as part of the Behavioral Health Policy Team. Clinical experience in a practice enrolled with KY Medicaid is preferred (5+ years). Focus will be on examining policies related to alternative payment methods and treatment models for children in care. The Behavior Health Specialist will be responsible for planning, execution, tracking, and documentation of the contract project deliverables including timelines and milestones. Will work in close collaboration with other Cabinet for Health & Family Services agencies, Managed Care Organizations, and community providers. Day to day work will consist of policy research of other state’s approaches, setting and facilitating meetings, analyzing data reports and trends to inform policy and future payment methods. Must be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment, have excellent communication and writing skills, and be able to meet important deadlines. Additional responsibilities include assisting with on-going compliance and amendments of State Plan and regulatory requirements and other related Medicaid Behavioral Health initiatives and duties. Work will be remote with limited in person meeting dates required. Knowledge of Evidenced Based Practices for childhood disorders, existing Medicaid Behavioral Health regulations, and Department for Community Based Services policies would be a plus.
This position is currently hybrid with occasional in-person meetings in Frankfort, KY.
