Participate in aggressive behavior management appropriate to the population served

Ability to implement Individual Crisis Management Plans with residents appropriately

Knowledge of readiness to learn about Trauma-Informed care and implement best practices

Assist residents with daily living skills as needed and participate in daily activities

To act as an advocate, educator, mentor and role model for Lutheran Child and Family Services

Support and implement the policy and philosophy of the program and the Agency

Ability to apply knowledge of current education and instructional theories, methodologies, techniques, and principles.

Knowledge of positive behavior strategies and reinforcement.

Ability to be organized and maintain records, manage time and resources effectively and efficiently.

Previous experience with elementary age children in a school/formal setting.

Work with teachers and administration in carrying out the philosophy of discipline within the school.

Member of school discipline team.

Participate in aggressive behavior management appropriate to the population served.

Good interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Good communication skills (both written and verbal), and assessments and treatment competencies specific to population being served

Must possess, by specialized training and/or experience, specific age-specific competencies to deal with the needs of the patient population served

Auditory skills to hear reporting by clients of their problems

Ability to cognitively analyze and reason to perform therapeutic interventions
