The role has 0.6 FTE allocated and includes the following specific responsibilities:

Administer and maintain a learning environment conducive to educating the residents in each of the ACGME Competency domains.

Design and maintain a curriculum that prepares residents for a future career in academic or community practice

Graduating from accredited nursing school before March 2024 (BSN Preferred)

Eligible for Delaware or Compact State licensure as a Registered Nurse

Require basic working knowledge of commonly used computer applications.

Supervisory Responsibilities. This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Paid or unpaid Kaiser Permanente experience (i.e. nursing student clinical rotation, internship, externship or volunteer)

Registered Nurses (RN) with less than 12 months of full-time RN experience (less than 2,080 hours) by hire date.

Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification

Orientation to the University of Miami Hospital and Clinics (UMHC) system, nursing department, standards of care, and clinical skills.

Monthly education sessions that address leadership, patient outcomes, and professionalism.

Graduation ceremony to acknowledge the nurses' accomplishments as they transition to their professional role.

Students graduating July/August 2023 are eligible to apply with pending Florida Registered Nurse License or ATT Letter.

Knowledge of Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) requirements for institutional, core, fellowship and program

Input and maintain data systems management utilizing New Innovations software program to maintain resident information.

Minimum of four (4) years’ experience in health care or relevant experience

Knowledge of Joint Commission regulations.

Knowledge of Department of Health (DOH) regulations.

Knowledge of Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).

Integrate inpatient and outpatient care coordinators, care managers, and case managers for seamless continuity of care.

Per local facility policy, the RN is responsible for maintaining Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

3-5 years minimum of successful nursing practice experience

Provides training and guidance for individuals supporting the program, with ability to create a culture of dependability and knowledge of resources.
