ADDENDUM – ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR SPECIALTY AREAS:

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:

For PRN positions: One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting is required

Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)

Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting Preferred

Three 12 hour shifts per week, 1872 hours per year (minimum)

$8,320 department based differential, added to your base annual rate

Less than 12 months of nursing experience by the start of the program

Offers to be made in stages following

Graduating from accredited nursing school (BSN Preferred)

Eligible for Delaware license as a Graduate Nurse/Registered Nurse

If you are relying on your education to meet qualification requirements:

Develops and manages collaborative partnerships with physicians and other clinicians.

Identifies educational needs of participants and ensures that these needs are addressed.

Participation in the seasonal influenza vaccination program is a requirement for all Department of Veterans Affairs Health Care Personnel (HCP).

At least more than 2 years experience in training nursing residents.

Previous knowledge of mentoring Quality Initiatives, performance impairment, or EBP projects with residents.
