6+ years of proven experience in a global, matrixed environment sourcing direct materials or supply chain management

Experience operating in a manufacturing environment, specifically in sourcing and managing direct materials such as Packaging and Raw Materials

Experience with Sourcing/Procurement tools and methodologies, including RFPs, Cost Models/Should Cost/Clean Sheet, Negotiations, and Contracts

Demonstrated commercial acumen and exceptional analytical skills, highlighted by a proven ability to deliver significant financial results.

Systems – Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, and MRP systems (SAP preferred)

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or Master’s degree or MBA (Preferred)

5+ years of strategic sourcing and category management expertise

Category Leads and Other Category Managers

8+ years of corporate business experience

3+ years of experience in these categories, particularly transportation

1-3 years of leadership experience

Problem solving and analytical skills

Strong understanding of procurement practices and procedures, including purchase orders, contract management, and vendor evaluation

Managing requisitions through the procurement flow and providing timely communication with business stakeholders for an effective and seamless experience

7+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in a medium sized business environment

Experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships

Project management and coordination skills.

Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.

Master’s Degree in Business Management or related field.

10+ years of experience in procurement or in a related industry or field.

10+ years of experience leading and supporting global sourcing initiatives.

Supplier negotiation and contract initiation skills.

Strong negotiation, contracting and supplier management skills

Utilize e-technologies (i.e., RFP’s, internet auctions and on-line vendor management)

Ability to manage large complex spend portfolios with strategic implications

Superior communication and listening skills to effectively interface with internal customers and suppliers

Experience with progressive procurement tools, such as cost structures, supplier business plans, electronic auctions, cost savings agreements, etc.

Solid ERP user experience, preferably SAP
