Staff Counsel Legal Intern – Remote

Assisting in research for legal briefs, complaints, motions, affidavits, memoranda, and other legal documents

Assisting attorneys with investigations in preparation for lawsuits and arbitrations

Assisting attorneys with drafting pleading documents, motions and cross-motions, discovery responses and demands, subpoenas, and other legal correspondence

Assisting attorneys in preparing for court and arbitration

Manage and collaborate with top tier outside law firms.

Minimum of 3-4 years of corporate, transactional law experience.

Experience with marketing and sweepstakes laws is a plus.

In-house experience preferred, but not required.

Exceptional legal drafting, research and analytical skills.

Provide advice and counseling to cross-functional teams on novel, cutting edge issues impacting e-commerce.

Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience, with a blend of in-house and law firm experience preferred.

Prior experience in sports, Esports, video games, entertainment or media broadcasting and production is a plus.

Provide comprehensive legal support to EA Esports programs, including the FC Global Series, Apex Legends Global Series, and Madden Championship Series;

Lead the legal support of assigned Esports projects;

J.D. (or local equivalent) and lawyer in good standing in applicable jurisdiction.

Familiarity with intellectual property licensing, live events, event production, sponsorship, drafting of competition rules, advertising, and marketing laws.

1-3 years of relevant legal experience.

Experience in digital / new media, including a thorough understanding of and demonstrated proficiency with technology agreements.

Provide timely and thoughtful legal advice on potential risks and issues, and propose practical, business-oriented solutions.

Maintain an awareness and understanding of the latest developments in the law and technology as they relate to digital media.

Identify and implement improvements to forms and processes.

Other matters as needed at the direction of the division’s team leaders.
