Working Conditions And Physical Requirements

Assists with food preparation, cooking, proper food temperatures, and food presentation.

Follows portion size guidelines, plating techniques and menu for service.

Plates and serves food to lunch program participants.

Completes and updates daily, weekly and monthly data forms.

Requirement: Previous prep and cleaning experience is preferred.

We are hiring immediately for full-time and part-time LEAD, KITCHEN UTILITY positions.

Schedule: Full-time and Part-time schedules available. Monday through Thursday 10:00am - 8:00pm and Friday 10:00am - 4:30pm. More details upon interview.

Starting Pay: $22.00 per hour

Perform duties assigned by the supervisor and/or Head Chef;

Salad and sandwich production, ingredient production, which includes but not limited to slicing, dicing, washing vegetables and peeling eggs;

Food running and stocking stations;

Gather ingredients from storeroom, warehouse, cooler etc;

Cleaning stations, tables and counters;

Serves customers in an efficient and friendly manner;

Manages food preparation, cooking, proper food temperatures, and food presentation. Follows portion size guidelines and menu for service.

Trains Kitchen Helpers and volunteers on preparation work and food plating techniques.

Oversees the daily work tasks of Kitchen Helpers and volunteers.

Maintains all required Health Department certificates and licenses.

Coordinates food orders with center staff.

Interest in learning or prior experience in basic food and ingredient preparation techniques and knife skills (chopping, dicing, slicing).

9th Grade Education or higher.

Strong problem solving and customer service skills

No prior experience necessary. Willing to train the right candidate for the role!

This is a part-time, non-benefit eligible position working less than 20 hours/ week.

Assisting with food preparation, servery set-up and replenishment, and customer food service.

Is polite, friendly, and helpful to guests, management and fellow team members

Supervises restaurant activities in absence of Manager

Maintains guest history files and uses information to enhance repeat guests experience

Promotes and applies teamwork skills at all times

Controls Reservation Book, accepts reservations and enters them accurately into the record

Maintains guest records to; record arrival, cover count, seat assignment, turnover, availability

Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.

May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred.

No previous work experience required.

Full Time.11:00am - 9:00pm Monday- Saturday & 8:00am - 4:00pm Sundays.

Requirement: Previous warehouse experience is preferred.
