3-5 years experience in higher education.

High school diploma or equivalent experience.

Minimum of two (2) years paid experience in a high-volume customer service position.

Paid or volunteer customer service experience in a healthcare environment.

Min to Max Hourly Salary$21.30 - $31.94 /hr

Maintaining skill level appropriate for current job duties;

All other duties and/or special projects as assigned by Management.

Disseminating information on programs offered at Nova Recovery LLC to clients, their family members, and referral sources;

Completes required in-service training and continuing education within required timelines.

Asking suitable questions on telephone and email inquiries to properly gather comprehensive information for the facility to evaluate appropriateness of client;

Completing all inquiry and admission information completely and accurately in Best Notes;

Support other student services events and activities. Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s and LHSON’s mission.

Host nursing admission information sessions twice a month.

Visit 5-10 recruitment activities per semester (ex: visit feeder college/university campuses, attend high school / college career fairs, etc.)

Visit 3-6 hospitals per semester to raise awareness and interest in LHSON

Recruit, hire, train and supervise 6 student workers per semester.

What We Are Looking For

Provide clinical services to all patients on caseload and assist when needed with other patients as assigned by clinical manager.

Minimum of 3 years experience in a behavioral healthcare field.

Experience working with substance abuse, addictions, mental health, cognitive behavior treatment and motivational interviewing.

Knowledge of utilizing electronic health record software and documentation.

Counseling experience with adults, an understanding of psychotropic medications and symptoms and effects.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

5. Processes all Medicare denial letters, Medicare certification and re-certifications and according to Medicare regulations.

Social Services Essential Job Duties:

1. Obtains referrals from hospital social workers, physicians, or family members keeping wait lists current.

10. Coordinates utilization review for new admissions covered by Medicare Part A.

11. Maintains complete confidentiality regarding admission information and resident records.

12. Assists in coordinating admissions/transfers/discharges with other departments.

Working knowledge of (EMR) Electronic Medical Record and (CRM) Customer Relationship Management Software programs recommended.

Must demonstrate efficiency, time management, and multitasking skills

Flexibility to perform Admissions responsibilities with all services offered by DBH

Compensation will be dependent upon geographic region, education, and experience

Continuing education (CE) programs and training

Exemplary interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients, referrals, and other internal staff.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.

Experience: 2+ years of experience working in a mental health setting and customer service experience required.

Demonstrate critical thinking skills and possess the ability to prioritize multiple tasks

Work experience in higher education.

Reconcile travel expenses and manage other budget-related items.

Ability to manage, prioritize, and complete multiple assignments.

Knowledge of proper spelling, grammar, punctuation, and sentence structure to ensure that written communication is complete, concise, and error-free.

Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheet software, internet, current social media outlets, and use of computers and general office equipment.

Two years experience working in a fast-paced environment.

Maintains necessary knowledge of served market areas, resident origin, and major referral sources.

Manages incoming inquiries, as needed, dependent on sales model (i.e. central intake)

Sales experience, particularly in health care services, products or pharmaceuticals is desirable.

Maintains admissions guidelines and actively participates in writing, updating, and recommending changes to admissions criteria, policies and procedures.

Ensures financial verification is accurate and complete before the resident is admitted to the Facility thus assisting in reducing accounts receivable.
