Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Interprets county regulations and federal laws to provide counsel and assistance to managers, county staff and the public on EEO matters.

Prior investigative and analytical experience, to include demonstrated experience conducting complex civil rights investigations.

Experience working with public and private civic groups.

Knowledge of applicable case laws as they relate to human rights.

Current Commonwealth of MA DMH Training certification

5 years plus of nursing or social work experience in behavioral health

Educating and informing patients of their rights, including the right to file a complaint.

Acting as a resource to the patients regarding the program’s guidelines

Advocating for and assisting any patient whose rights have been, are being, or are at risk of being denied

Assisting to resolve, through all available mechanisms, the patient’s human rights issues.

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications (i.e., Photoshop, Illustrator, and Indesign) is preferred.

Maintaining and expanding a database of strategic media contacts; crafting curated media lists for HRF press releases.

Liaising with the creative team to meet creative needs for all public-facing content (i.e., blog posts, press releases, etc.).

Drafting and designing email communications.

Maintaining the schedule of the official HRF podcast series.

. Knowledge management and Advocacy

Initiate and manage knowledge production and publications processes related to the Programme;

Developing People, Fostering Innovation and Empowerment, Performance Management

Provide analytical knowledge and develop assessment reports on the subject of gender equality and human rights;

Prepare briefing notes and background materials to serve the information needs of senior managers, other UNFPA colleagues and relevant partners.

Synthesize and document experiences and lessons learned in working with the Programme, including through direct communication with regional and country offices;

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Monitor and maintain systems to ensure adherence to all the compliance requirements of the co-operative agreement.

• Excellent data analysis, research and writing skills.

• Bachelor of Arts/Science or equivalent degree required.

• Proficiency in reviewing, monitoring, and evaluating budgets and financial documents.
