Inspect guest rooms and bathrooms to meet standards for cleanliness, sanitation, and appearance.

Maintain and submit all housekeeping records and equipment accurately and in a timely manner.

Supervise Housekeeping employees to ensure they are alert to all their duties.

Provide a high level of service when engaging with guests, using problem-solving, attention to detail, and guest safety.

Assists with Activities of Daily Living by serving meals and feeding patients as needed/directed; offering fresh water and snacks.

Participates in all training and continuing education. Maintains licensure to meet federal, state, and accreditation standards.

2 years’ experience in addiction is preferred, otherwise additional training may be required prior to start date.

Collect regulated and non-regulated medical waste from work assignment areas and deposit in designated pickup areas.

Must observe “Universal Precautions” and all infection control techniques employed by housekeepers in a hospital environment.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Operates and utilizes sanipac, compactor and bailer.

Moderate to heavy lifting ability required; ability to operate all types of floor machinery and other housekeeping related equipment.

Ability to lift 50 lbs., carry items of 25 lbs., pushes carts up to 200 lbs.

Ability to perform frequent pulling, pushing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting and reaching.

Previous experience in nursing home and/or food service preferred.

Must be 16 Years or older.

Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and perform simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.

Six months to one year’s experience preferred.

Strong written and verbal skills.

High School or GED preferred. Must be at least 18 years of age.

Must be tolerant, patient and treat residents with dignity and respect.

Able to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.

Base Rate - $13.00 - $16.41 per hour based on experience
