Review, prepare & serve meals in accordance with planned menus with standardized recipes & special diet orders.

Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures assuring that utensils, etc., are readily available for next meal.

Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace.

Must possess or be able to obtain a Food Handler's Card

Assist or provide residents with morning and afternoon care.

Assist or provide residents with activities such as bathing

Make beds and assist with laundry

Assist residents to dining rooms

Works as a team player

Completes daily documentation of services provided

Assist in loading, folding, stocking and all finishing functions of the laundry department as assigned

Adhere to facility standards regarding infection control, standard precautions and hazard materials

Effective organizational and time management skills.

High School Diploma or the equivalent in education or experience required.

Knowledge of patient diets and safe food handling requirements and use of Nutritional Care Manual.

Tuition and continuing education reimbursement

Patient related service experience preferred.

Knowledge of clinical operations and procedures.

Minimum of five years’ experience in manager position in a hospital or similar institution.

Courses in hospital housekeeping or institutional management are helpful.

Special courses in housekeeping or institutional management are helpful.

Ability to plan, organize, train, and manage all department personnel in the EVS Department.

Knowledge of hospital infection control, sanitation protocols, and cleaning methods.

Ability to prepare budget requests including labor cost, equipment, and material requirements.
