Home Equity Lending Operations Manager

Lead the daily operations of the home equity lending department, shaping its growth and performance.

Direct the processing, underwriting, closing, and servicing of home equity loans.

Ensure unwavering compliance with home equity lending regulations and industry best practices.

Associate degree in business or 2 years’ experience in mortgage banking; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Utilize sales training skills to provide outstanding customer service.

Monitor loan files for denials, withdraws or counteroffers.

1-2 years of experience working in a Loan Origination System or similar banking system. Encompass experience a plus.

Previous experience working with documentation in a heavily regulated environment

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements For Working From Home

Success in building, implementing, and improving Home Equity product lines

Prepares accurate loan packages for review and approval by Commission management, the Loan Committee, or the Commission.

Assists Vice President, Single-family Housing Finance, with special projects as required

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Processes, procedures, and requirements for assigned programs and functional areas.

Maintains complete and accurate document and computer files; prepares and submits required reports on loan application status.

Receives inquiries via telephone, email, or mail; resolves any issues, problems, or requests using established procedures.

Perform routine data entry and validation tasks

Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience

Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred

Strong time management and organization skills.

Proven interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills.

Knowledge of Word and Excel helpful.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Ability to maintain high level of accuracy.

Work with Coordinators and Management to maintain recording fee and vendor order chart used by lenders and closers.

Competitive starting rate of up to $24/hour, depending on experience.
