Home Equity Lending Operations Manager

In this hands-on position, you will lead the charge in building and refining our lending operations, ensuring compliance, driving efficiency, and harnessing technology to streamline processes.

As the Home Equity Lending Manager, you'll be at the helm of our lending operations department. Your role encompasses overseeing the end-to-end process, from application to servicing, while ensuring strict adherence to regulatory standards. You will lead, mentor, and inspire a dedicated team, driving them towards excellence. Moreover, you'll spearhead the integration of technology within the department to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the daily operations of the home equity lending department, shaping its growth and performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline the home equity origination process.
  • Direct the work of our lead engineer on all integrations and build outs
  • Ensure unwavering compliance with home equity lending regulations and industry best practices.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to leverage technology for process enhancement.
  • Drive the development and implementation of technology solutions, from software selection to maintenance.
  • Design and implement policies and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Be hands on and configure our loan origination system Byte and its integration into our proprietary point of sale system.
  • Motivate and guide your team, fostering professional development.
  • Ensure that technology aligns with departmental needs and drives productivity.
  • Direct the processing, underwriting, closing, and servicing of home equity loans.
  • Stay abreast of evolving home equity lending regulations and industry trends.


Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving capabilities.
  • Adept at both independent work and teamwork.
  • Over 5 years of hands-on experience in home equity or mortgage lending operations.
