Manage the solicitation process, including recommending proposal ask amounts and monitoring committee/volunteer assignments.

Manage a team of development staff and provide performance evaluations for individuals under supervision.

Minimum 4-6 years experience in major donor and gift solicitation, or an equivalent combination of related experience.

Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise work and meet tight deadlines

Communicating with project partners and other charities to share knowledge and experiences

Accurately recording income and donor communications on a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system

Excellent written communication skills – experience in writing persuasive and compelling fundraising applications is desirable

Liaising with colleagues across the country to gather relevant and accurate information for funding applications and other communication requirements

At least 5 years’ experience as a professional fundraiser

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES (SKA’s) –

Ability to oversee the moves management process for major gift donors and prospective donors.

Five or more years’ experience within a higher education institution’s university advancement setting.

Demonstrated skills in an institutional / educational environment utilizing a customer-oriented and service-centered attitude.

Identify and pursue new business opportunities with potential donors, including prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline management.

Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on business development activities and progress toward goals.

Extra Skills. Experience with a CRM tool.

Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals, presentations, and other fundraising materials to effectively communicate the company’s capabilities to prospective donors.

Lead contract negotiations with donors, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business development role

Maintain complete and orderly records of donors and manage regular donor communications

Ensure that all legal reporting requirements are satisfied

Raise funds for CHOYCES and regularly meet or surpass fundraising targets

Salary based on experience. This is a part-time, contract position; benefits are not available.

Ensure that the organization follows all reporting requirements related to fundraising and grants.

Report to the executive director and work closely to support the Board of Directors.

Develop and execute annual and multi-year fundraising strategies.

Grow annual revenue in the short-term, while diversifying the donor sponsorship base towards long–term sustainability.

Provide direct support and resources for the fundraising committee and board members with fundraisers and events.
