Fundraising and Marketing Manager
StandUp for Kids - Orange County was launched in 2003 with a single focus: to end the cycle of youth homelessness in our community. We work to provide basic needs, housing, mentoring support, care, and love to youth at risk of or experiencing homelessness, ages 12-24. The Fundraising and Marketing Manager will be responsible for revenue generation and the successful implementation of multiple campaigns through fundraising and grant writing. Works closely with the executive leadership, enlisting the support of volunteers, and administers and manages the development and implementation of all fundraising for the program. The Fundraising and Marketing Manager will report to the Executive Director and is responsible for leading and overseeing all organizational fundraising efforts. The successful candidate will have excellent writing and presentation skills, strategic planning skills, relationship-building skills, and a demonstrated track record in fundraising and marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Lead contract negotiations with donors, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop proposals, presentations, and other fundraising materials to effectively communicate the company’s capabilities to prospective donors.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive business development plan to achieve company growth targets.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on business development activities and progress toward goals.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and potential new markets for the company.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities with potential donors, including prospecting, lead generation, and pipeline management.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, industry associations, and government agencies.
Requirements:
- Experience with CRM systems and fundraising tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and maintain relationships with donors, suppliers, and industry stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of construction industry trends, regulations, and standards.
- Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
- Proven track record of generating new business opportunities and achieving fundraising targets.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business development role
Working Conditions:
- Ability to maneuver around in the community to attend offsite meetings, network, conduct outreach and public relations activities, etc.
- Regular working conditions are hybrid (2 work-from-home days and 3 in the office) located in our headquarters in Costa Mesa.
- Ability to periodically work evenings and/or on weekends to attend meetings, community events, or special events.
- Bend, lift 50 lbs., reach, sit, stand, and walk.
- Working on a computer and/or a telephone for extended periods.

REQUIRED skills…
- The details.Must be highly detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects, and multi-task in a large territory.
- The mojo.Must have the ability to build rapport with donors in person, over the phone, via text, or through telepathic means.

- The tech.Proficient with computer software programs including MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

- The chops.Excellent verbal and written communication capabilities are needed.
Other Requirements and Qualifications:
- A valid driver's license with a clean record and reliable transportation to work
- A background check ($18 submission fee). Ability to pass a background check and drug screen required
- Completion of all Onboarding Mandatory StandUp for Kids Training.
