Flight Ops Flight Instructor Jobs

Maintains qualification and competency in accordance with FAA and UAL requirements

High school diploma, GED or education equivalent

1 year of Airline Operations experience

Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualifications

At least 1 year of FAR Part 121 Dispatch experience

Experience working as a dispatcher for another airline

Conduct preflight/post flight debriefings and provide in-flight instruction to ensure students have a thorough understanding and comprehension of the training materials

Maintain the quality (pass rate) of flight training at or above 80%

Regularly schedule each assigned student to ensure progress through the course

Maintain the flight training standards as outlined by both FAA and L3Harris Flight Academy

Maintain policies and procedures of the Operations Manual

Provide a customer service oriented and professional instruction according to L3Harris Flight Academy policy

Responsible for the management and scheduling of their assigned students; perform flight and ground instruction as assigned by supervisory personnel

Instructor abilities will be evaluated primarily by the Stage Check pass rates of students

Attend mandatory standardization training and perform Solo Monitor duties when required

Provide administrative documentation pertinent to student training within prescribed time limits

Develop and prepare course outlines, study materials, and instructional procedures for student enrolled in basic, advanced, or instrument ground school

Lecture on various subjects such as aircraft construction, federal aviation regulations, and ratio navigation

Well organized, with excellent time management

Prepare flight programmes to meet Company requirements, including the scheduling of training flights in all aspects.

Knowledge of EASA regulations, especially Flight Duty Limitations and ability to read aerodrome charts and use of the Jeppesen Software.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

Knowledge of PPS Flight Planning System / APG / FL3XX is beneficial

Update and rearrange accommodation and ground transportation for crews, as required, following any program changes.

Time management skills, organization, and the ability to prioritize tasks

Previous Part 121 airline operations experience preferred

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Excel, Word)

To plan, release and monitor flights in accordance with applicable Federal Regulations and Mountain Air Cargo, Inc. (MAC) policies and procedures

Work in a Team Environment with a Positive Attitude

Collects and disseminates weather and aeronautical information to Flight Crews

Must possess excellent customer service and communication skills

Must have a CFI & Medical (We will accept applications from candidates within 3 months of obtaining their CFI)

Must hold a Commercial Pilot Certificate

Must be able to reliably commute to our office in Loveland, Colorado

Must be authorized to work in the United States

US Resident/Citizen with legal right-to-work status

FAA Commercial Single/Multi Engine Certificate

FAA CFI and CFII (MEI is preferred)

Have logged at least 200 hours as flight instructor (preferred)

Typically requires education or formal training equivalent to a four-year technical degree and six or more years progressively complex aviation experience.

Equivalent professional aviation experience may be substituted in lieu of education.

Progressively complex aviation experience must include work done as an instructor pilot in a formal training program.

Must have excellent organization skills including planning and coordinating work assignments.

Completion of the Air Combat Command Classroom Instructor Course or MAJCOM equivalent satisfies the CRI requirement.

Ability to meet AFI 11-2 MQ-1/9, Volume 1, Chapter 2 Instructor Pilot Prerequisites prior to certification as an MQ-1/9 IP.

Evaluates aerostat lift and purity trends. Reports any unusual trends to management and recommends remedial action.

May serve as the Site Manager in his/her absence.

Flight Director certification must be satisfactorily completed/obtained within prescribed timeframe.

Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Bachelors degree and 0-2 years' work experience or a high school diploma/GED and 4 years' work experience

Tethered Aerostat Radar Systems (TARS) experience preferred

Experience / Knowledge / Skills:

200 hours of night helicopter PIC experience required, 300 hours of night helicopter PIC experience preferred
