L3Harris Flight Academy is looking for a highly motivated, experienced flight safety coordinator to assist the Flight Safety Manager in a myriad of daily tasks and ongoing projects.

Essential Functions:

  • Assist in reviewing and analyzing incident and accident reports and track key performance indicators and goals
  • Conducts and assists in compliance monitoring and completing departmental audits
  • Gathers and analyzes operational incident and accident data to develop monthly Academy safety reports
  • Interact professionally with airport contacts and FAA representatives if needed
  • Provide relevant information for the quarterly Aviation Safety Action Program reports for the FAA
  • Conducts Line Observation Safety Audits (LOSA) and is responsible for upholding L3Harris standards and procedures
  • Assists in completing monthly safety meetings
  • Assist with creating clean and concise quarterly internal safety newsletter content
  • Review ASAP reports to coordinate remedial training
  • Assist with implementation of a Safety Management System
  • Assist with oversight of Aviation Safety Action Program
    • Provide relevant information for the quarterly Aviation Safety Action Program reports for the FAA
    • Review ASAP reports to coordinate remedial training

Qualifications:

  • Part 141 experience
  • Familiar with Regulatory Authority including the FAA
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience 1-2 years relevant job experience
  • CFI, CFII, & MEI or equivalent experience as determined by L3Harris

Preferred Additional Skills:

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Excel
  • Ability to multitask many projects at once and disciplined to meet deadlines
  • Experience in safety, analytics, and training
  • Ability to easily learn and manipulate software programs required to complete tasks related to safety and compliance
  • Ability to interact professionally with colleagues via written and verbal communications
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Ability to address large audiences of 100 or more people
