Possesses strong supervisory skills with a minimum of 2-4 years’ experience as Manager/Supervisor/Lead Position, and with demonstrated levels of achievement.

Minimum 5 years supervisory experience

May require mandatory immunizations and credentialing based on customer requirements

Valid drivers license required; Commercial Vehicle Driving experience a plus

Experience with temporary traffic control plans (TCP) and work zone management

Experience using case management experience using AMANDA or similar software.

Experience or education may be substituted up to a maximum of four (4) years.

Prior experience leading a large team of non-union associates in a fast paced warehouse/distribution environment.

Descartes or similar transportation software experience.

One To Three Years Onsite Driver Management Experience Preferred

Proven Leadership and in-depth knowledge of dedicated transportation operations, FMCSA and DOT regulations.

High attention to detail, strong planning, and organization skills

Responsibility for driver safety, FMCSA, and DOT compliance.

4 years of supervisory experience - management or with unionized employees*

Achieve weekly and monthly safety observation expectations and objectives in regards to the safety management plan

Performance Management, Training and Onboarding

Manage crew productivity against switching standards, recommend improvements when appropriate

Industrial work experience demonstrating progression of responsibility and complexity in a safety-compliant environment

Experience working with heavy machinery

Acts as the back-up person for the Transportation Manager as well as for completing log data entry.

Assists in determining rental requirements and equipment needs

Coordinates daily scheduling of drivers and staff members ensuring the effectiveness of the workforce.

Monitors driver departure times and reports the information accordingly.

Shares on-call duty with members of the Transportation Department.

Coordinates customer deliveries with Drivers and notifies customers of delays or accidents.

Strong leadership and collaboration skills with experience effectively supervising, coaching and influencing employees

2 years of transportation or supply chain experience

Experience with Microsoft Office and Windows applications with the ability to create complex formulas in Excel

1 year of supervisory experience

Act as a liaison for Transportation, Operations, carriers, vendors and customers

Lead and supervise transportation staff, including training and evaluating employee performance

Notify Management of low inventory, including equipment and consumables

Manage the company fleet including vehicle tracking and maintenance records for the East Region

Manage the GeoTab system including employee coaching and disciplinary actions with assistance from Human Resources and local Managers

Report any deficiencies in operational and policy level non-conformances to the Project Manager or Operations Manager as applicable

Load and unload customer parts utilizing a fork truck

Sign equipment in and out from inventory using the designated inventory control system

Fleet maintenance management experience in a metric driven environment

Manages effective utilization of vehicle assets – utilize vehicle management systems

Mechanical experience or knowledge including hydraulics, electrical and diagnostics

Ensures safe and reliable vehicles are available to meet operational requirements

5 years of relevant work experience preferred

Coordinates and supervises all maintenance work and repairs, and monitors progress and quality

Communicate all service and operational deficiencies to Department Manager.

Prior supervisory experience in transportation or related field required.

Articulate with good oral and written communication skills.

Promote superior customer service through receipt and shipment of product.

Ensure departmental performance effectively meets customer demands and corporate goals.

Limit amount of damages and delivery errors.

Minimum 2+ years management of the maintenance scheduling and work flow function for mining fleets.

Exposure to Project Management tools and techniques.

Complete performance evaluation reviews for direct reports and manage their career development.

Minimum 3-5 years Maintenance General Foreman level or higher experience in heavy industry, preferred in coal mining

Experience managing or supervising an equipment department

5 years' experience in managing mining fleet maintenance.

 2-3 years prior experience in the transportation industry

 Communicate with drivers, dispatchers, and customers.

 Delegate equipment and loads to shuttle as required.

Review schedule, confirm current status an d upcoming shifts, manage shift changes/swapping and time off requests in Deputy.

Monitor battery status throughout a shift and make decisions, manage staff based on that status

Address employee performance and attendance issues as needed in partnership with the Market Manager.

Coordinate with People Ops and Market Manager for interviews, screening and driving tests for recruiting new drivers.
