Business Development Manager of Events

Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience in fundraising at a non-profit

Proven experience planning and executing large-scale fundraising events

Demonstrable experience of all aspects of event management including experience of delivering large scale events (+100 attendees) both in-person and virtual.

Proven leadership and people management skills.

Strong stakeholder management skills, able to develop collaborative relationships internally and externally to deliver positive outcomes.

Essential Skills, Knowledge And Experience

Leading on internal stakeholder management across the business (including at Executive Board level) and owning day-to-day relationships with established external suppliers.

Experience of planning and monitoring events budgets ensuring value for money and strong return on investment (financial and non-financial returns).

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Proven 5+ years experience in business development or sales. Experience within the event planning, hospitality, or related industry required.

Excellent cold calling and prospecting skills, with a persuasive and confident communication style

Knowledge of the event industry, including venue selection, event planning, and logistics

Experience with software platforms like Zoom Info, Zoho CRM, G-Suite, and other sales tracking tools highly preferred.
