Organize, plan, and lead community meetups, workshops, and events focused on financial literacy topics.

Develop and implement social media campaigns to engage the community and raise awareness about financial literacy.

1-2 years minimum of experience in a professional workplace setting

General comfort and interest in using art materials, though deep knowledge is not required;

Attend 2-hour in-person training sessions in advance of events

Assist with materials preparation and set up

Maintain cleanliness and order in the activity areas

Assist in clean up and break down after event

Develop and manage a robust program for individuals and groups for ongoing and one-time volunteer opportunities.

Strategically plan, coordinate, and execute experiences that connect volunteers to BGCCO’s mission and cultivate long-term relationships.

Assist the Advancement Team with events and experiences that engage members, supporters, increase brand awareness, and grow revenue.

Working knowledge of community organizing.

3+ years of experience with social media management and content creation.

Organize community outreach programs and coordinate special events that promote products, services, or ideas of the company.

ü Experience leading community engagement initiatives, including complex projects with multiple stakeholders and collaborative partnerships.

What will I be doing?

1+ year(s) of experience in community engagement management, preferably within the biotech or life sciences industry

Organize and facilitate online and offline events (i.e. webinars, conferences, and forums for networking, knowledge exchange, and collaboration purposes)

Educational or professional experience relevant in a science or technology driven field preferred but not required

Manage development of a portfolio of collaboratively-designed projects that advance community wealth-building opportunities in the circular bioeconomy sector

Work with BEAM Circular’s communications team to develop and distribute educational materials to diverse audiences

Exceptional communication and group facilitation skills

Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and project management platforms.

Develop resources tailored to specific stakeholders or offering general support for our stakeholder engagement initiatives (e.g., SRCs/SRHCs, RAs).

Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.

Experience using a high-touch approach in developing and distributing resources and other materials for communities.

Excellent problem-solving skills and crisis intervention techniques and motivational interviewing experience preferred.

Support community-based COVID-19 response including outreach and education (e.g., providing literature, tabling, COVID test kit and mask distribution, community wellness activities)

Agree to and pass a criminal background check if the offer is accepted by the applicant

Willingness to learn new skills and improve upon existing ones

Experience providing coaching, mentoring, adult learning, counseling, outreach, workshop facilitation, and/or group/community presentations preferred.

Complete all required onboarding and Community Health Worker trainings, attend team meetings, and supervision sessions

Strong organizational skills and ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously.

Proficiency in project management software such as Asana, Monday.com, Basecamp, etc.

2 or more years of community-centered work or project experience.

Experience building and maintaining relationships with communities in Chicago.

Liaise with stakeholders in the Puerto Rican community in Chicago.

Demonstrated experience in community management for computer games or related industries

Provide regular reports and updates to management on community engagement and player sentiment

Strong knowledge of social media platforms and community building strategies

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to connect and build relationships with players and cross-functional teams

Develop and implement strategies to increase player retention and engagement

Regularly monitor and respond to player feedback and inquiries across various communication channels

Bonus points for experience with volunteer management platforms and PMP or CSM Certification

2+ years of experience in project management, preferably in community engagement or CSR initiatives

Administer the volunteerism platform, working with the system vendor to improve user experience and generate system reports as needed

Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
