Perform special projects as requested by management.

The specialist will perform the following daily functions as part of the collections function

Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with Accounting Manager & Controller.

Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills required

Experience with Invoiced.com and Quickbooks Online preferred

Minimum of 2 years of corporate collections experience including interaction with a large customer base.

Quickbooks experience (Web & Desktop)

Monitor AR email inbox throughout workday for new sales orders received and process accordingly

Experience working with Medicaid programs, such as BadgerCare Plus, long-term care programs, Wisconsin Funeral and Cemetery Aids Programs, etc.

Experience working with an estate recovery program.

May act as a Lead IBC Assistant. May train and provide guidance to other IBC Assistants.

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:

1-2 years of direct experience in credit and collections; knowledgeable in sales, negotiation and persuasion tools

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Increase the collection of outstanding payments within our personal finance department, as an individual contributor in the collections process

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Prior telemarketing experience with financial products preferred

High School Diploma or equivalent experience required

3 – 5 years’ experience in collections, accounts receivable or a related area

Professional interpersonal skills and the ability to adjust and interact with all levels of personnel including clients, attorneys and staff

Professional judgement, strong attention to detail and great interpersonal skills required

Assist with various client requests for additional information on invoices

Ensure proper administration of internal write-off policies

At least one (1) year experience in a healthcare setting or equivalent as a combination of education and experience.

Prepare credit memos and write-offs for management approval

Within first 60 Days: Possess a working knowledge of company policies, procedures, and products

2+ years of professional experience in invoicing and collections

Ability to stay on task and productive while working in a remote setting

Reduce the overall past due (and bad debt) balances

Research unapplied cash and missing payments

Collaborate with relationship managers where appropriate to facilitate client payments

3-5 years' experience in collections

Working knowledge of MS Office including advanced knowledge of MS Excel

Proven experience as a Collection Specialist or similar role

Knowledge of Billing and Collections procedures

Knowledge of various collection techniques

Review accounts for any new developments and report to management.

Additional finance duties as needed.

Collections experience preferred, but not required.

Excellent Customer Service (telephone skills), work performance and attendance.

Knowledge of Salesforce, Great Plains applications preferred, but not required.

Great organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.

Collections experience is preferred, however, we will train candidates with skillsets required for success in this position.

Require excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, coupled with the ability to effectively interface with customers and internal personnel

The ability to multi-task, work in a fast paced environment, have excellent organizational skills and detail orientation are needed.

Must be a team player with high energy and problem solving skills

Work with sales representative to improve collections and customer knowledge of credit, billing and collection policy

Duties, responsibilities and activities may be assigned or changed from time to time

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Monitor Accounts Receivable and identification of past due accounts.

Utilize credit bureau data, internet searches and other tools to locate customers who have moved or changed phone numbers.

Maintain records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent customers as well as records of payments collected from the customer.

Resolve customer issues and complaints.

Development of bad debt assessment and requesting the appropriate reserve amounts monthly
