Experience serving in management or “lead” role in relevant area.

Program / Case Management: Experience coordinating programs and managing individual cases.

Proven experience executing complex cross-department projects.

Computer Skills: Must be able to use Excel, Word, and other technology and applications necessary to perform the job.

Develops and facilitates life skills and work readiness training curriculum

Experience working with public assistance recipients, formerly incarcerated individuals and those affected by the challenges associated with poverty.

Interviews, motivates, and guides members with the development of career plan.

Guides the member through all activities as outlined in their career plan.

Facilitates IMPACT program members work readiness one-on-one sessions and in small groups.

Strong abilities in time management, event organization, and project management

Knowledge of social justice and strategies for promoting equity and inclusivity in a higher education environment

Demonstrated analytical and strategic thinking skills; the ability to embrace challenges

Experience or willingness to learn technologies 

Knowledge of international student exchange and visitor regulations

Ability to develop strong relationships with students, college staff, faculty, and employers 

Experience with persons with disabilities.

Develop job experiences/tryouts in the community while utilizing assessment information about consumer. Maintain task/site assessments on all locations.

Previous experience in a Mission Services facility or setting preferred.

Knowledge of the world of work.

Knowledge of marketing and employment trends.

Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Demonstrated track record for providing exceptional customer service

Fluency in Arabic Portuguese Somali French or Lingala is a plus

Experience: Experience in a professional, administrative environment. Previous administrative experience required; minimum of two years of related experience preferred.

(70 percent) Act as the primary administrative support to the Career Development Center

(20 percent) Oversee CDC budgets and reports, and contribute to maintaining the CDC

Administer assessments based on skills, knowledge, interests and personality traits.

Coordinate participation in programs that train and improve clients skills and knowledge.

Assist clients in communication and conflict management using assessments and trainings based on clients individual personality and behavioral assessments.

Connect individuals to educational programs, financial aid resources, academic support services and agencies to aid in career planning and development.

Coordinates tours of educational institutions and training programs.

Assess and evaluate individuals with disabilities for participation in Vocational Rehabilitation Services

Coordinate logistics of CS career programs and off-campus events (including DC and Detroit career exploration trips, virtual career panels/sessions), event management/logistics

A Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Develop programs/initiatives specifically designed to support underrepresented student career experience and exploration

Facilitate/develop Career Development Workshops & Job Search Groups, assess students interests and professional skill development needs

Manage outreach, promotion of career services events for undergraduate public policy students

2+ years of professional experience in advising, career services, talent acquisition/recruiting or workforce development

Manage ACE programming requests for major and career exploration programs

Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

Strong individual advising or coaching skills

Knowledge of both advising and career theories and resources

$52,000-54,000 and accompanied by a university benefits package

Utilize systems such as Handshake, Salesforce, Banner, Slate, and Argos to support transition advising and exploration data analysis and reporting

Experience in culinary higher education

Create a multi-year development program including but not limited to: soft skills, career and professional development, internships and leadership development

Orchestrate life skill seminars and workshops for student including but not limited to financial literacy, resume writing, and interview preparation

3+ years of professional work experience in career development, post-secondary success counseling, or related fields

A strong knowledge of academic advising, student retention initiatives, and a track record of exceeding job expectations

Solid organizational abilities, including planning, program development, and task facilitation

Trains youth staff workers, partners, and site managers on how to deliver workshops.

Works with the Senior Manager and Director(s) to pilot and incubate new and innovative youth development programs.

Perform related work as determined by the Director of Youth Employment & Opportunity and/or YEO Managers or delegate

Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred and can be substituted for two (2) years of the required experience. Training experience cannot be substituted

Experience building or contributing to a youth development curriculum preferred

Good mediation, facilitation and listening skills required.

Experience and/or knowledge of education, higher education, and college access and success ecosystem and working with first-generation college students preferred

Strong computer skills and knowledge of Salesforce and Asana is a plus

Experience planning and leading workshops and/or college-age student facing events

Ability to work independently and as part of a team; enjoy working remotely

What would your approach be to building relationships with new employers that might offer internships to first-year college students?

Assist SRA College & Career Advisors in their work with their students to provide career coaching and secure internships/employment opportunities by:
