Conducts one-on-one social skills lessons with ESE students.

Participates in Florida Department of Education required workshops and other trainings.

Responsible for timely and accurate information they maintain as a part of their job responsibilities.

Implement knowledge of the Response to Intervention model in both academic and behavioral structures.

Assists ESE teachers and acts as a classroom facilitator to assess best learning practices for teachers to use in the classroom.

Understands and implements SESI's philosophy, policy and procedures relating to conduct, discipline, educational and attendance outcomes for students and staff.

Certification, registration and/or license as required by local statutes to deliver behavior treatment.

Effective management of disruptive students

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Exceptional Student Education, psychology, social work, counseling, behavior analysis or related field

Minimum of three (3) years successful experience working with students exhibiting maladaptive behavior

Knowledge of Applied Principals of Behavior Analysis (ABA), data collection and data analysis at all tiers of instruction

BCBA or BCaBA certification, or candidate will obtain certification within three (3) years of date of hire

Certification in district adopted crisis intervention/de-escalation program.

Experience as a team member in development, implementation and evaluation of behavior management plans.

Conduct observations of students for development of behavior management and behavior modification plans.

Provide in-service training for teachers and staff in working with children and adolescents on behavior management.

Participate in the design, implementation and evaluation of crisis management plans.

Demonstrated success in development, implementation and evaluation of individual and group behavior management and modification plans.

Valid Special Education licensure and/or certification as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

$31.19 to $34.29 an hour

At least one year of experience managing volunteers, and experience with using the volunteer management software database, Volgistics;

Experience with the Shelter management software system, PetPoint;

Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Coordinates behavioral medical therapies with veterinary staff and animal care management as needed.

We are currently hiring experienced and reliable behavior interventionist to provide one-to-one behavioral support at family home.

Provide direct behavior support and implement intervention strategies under the direction of the client’s BCBA.

Collaborate with teachers and allied health professionals (speech therapists, occupational therapists)

General knowledge of the developmental disabilities system in Colorado .

Demonstrated skill applying behavioral techniques and in working with children or adults with developmental disabilities/mental illness.

Provide direct ABA therapy for clients at home, in the community, or in other environments as needed

Basic knowledge of the principles and practice of Applied Behavior Analysis.

Two or more years’ experience in special education, a psychiatric setting or other similar setting for children and adolescents is required

Actively manage the hallways during arrival, transition, and dismissal and ensure staff are at assigned posts

Proactively provide supervision of students to ensure the safety and security of the school program at all times

High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent is required
