Effective management of disruptive students

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Exceptional Student Education, psychology, social work, counseling, behavior analysis or related field

Minimum of three (3) years successful experience working with students exhibiting maladaptive behavior

Knowledge of Applied Principals of Behavior Analysis (ABA), data collection and data analysis at all tiers of instruction

BCBA or BCaBA certification, or candidate will obtain certification within three (3) years of date of hire

Certification in district adopted crisis intervention/de-escalation program.

Participate in training programs offered to enhance the individual skills and proficiency related to job responsibilities.

Computer skills are required for the position. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Utilize the electronic management system to generate IEP documents.

Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or designee. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

A minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience in Exceptional Student Education.

This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in education or related field

Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate in an exceptional student education area, school psychologist, or guidance and counseling

Trained in applied behavior analysis or agreement to complete the district approved training within a designated timeframe
