Behavior Specialist for Monmouth and Ocean County School District

Position Specifics:
  • School hours, Monday-Friday from September-June
  • All Time Off Benefits based on Monmouth/Ocean County school calendar for the 2023-2024 school year
  • Additional time off includes personal days and accrued sick time
  • Grades range from Pre-K-12th grade
  • School District: Monmouth and Ocean County Schools: Locations to be determined
  • Behavior Specialist report to the designee at the school and Devereux clinical designee
What Devereux looks for in YOU:
  • Consultation on Behavior Support Plan Goals/Objectives, as well as environmental supports
  • Provide specific number of hours of services per individual as indicated by authorizations or contracts
  • Data collection and inputting data into excel database
  • Conduct observations and integrity assessments of BCBA's current BSP per Individual
  • Assist BCBA with the assessment and treatment of challenging behaviors
  • Implementation of therapeutic interventions
  • Input notes regarding behavioral services

Qualifications:
You'd make a great Behavior Specialist if you have:

Education
: Bachelor's in behavior analysis, psychology, or a related field and Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification

Experience
:
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication experience
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in presentations
  • At least 2 years providing behavior support to individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder or Intellectually / Developmentally Disabled clients
  • Solid interpersonal skills required to work as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team
