The post-holder has responsibility for providing on-site, expert mental health support and counseling services to members of the NYUBA community (approximately 500 undergraduate and graduate students during the academic semesters and 150 students during January term and summer), and an ability to coordinate support for physical health issues. The post-holder has responsibility for proposing, organizing, and implementing programs and services related to the mental and physical well-being of the student population. The post holder will work with other professionals at NYUBA who are responsible for other aspects of student health, including ensuring immunization compliance of the NYUBA population. In close coordination with the Student Life team, the post holder will create and deliver health promotion and orientation programming related to wellness needs of NYUBA students and will deliver relevant wellness training to faculty and staff at NYUBA, including detecting students in distress, responding to matters of sexual misconduct, etc. The post-holder works closely both with NYUBA colleagues and those based at NYU in New York City.

Required Education:
Doctoral Degree Applicants must hold a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in clinical psychology or a Masters or Ph.D. in Social Work and must hold the proper license/accreditation to legally provide counseling services in Argentina

Required Experience:
3+ years University counseling experience is preferred and knowledge of the US university system is desirable

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent communication, negotiation and customer service skills Familiarity with the clinical application. Familiarity with the principles of engagement, empowerment, rehabilitation and recovery Ability to provide professional advice and consultation in areas related to professional psychology and behavioral health. Ph.D. in clinical psychology. NY State license or eligibility. 3 years' clinical experience, which may include internships, externships, or fellowships. Ability to remain patient and calm in stressful situations Ability to build comprehensive reports and effectively convey information to others.

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $74,000.00 to USD $94,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
