Placid Bay Hotel and Town House Lodge are seeking a part-time Housekeeper to join our exciting team of leaders in the hospitality industry!

The ideal person has not only a passion for cleanliness and eye for detail to maintain our high standards, but also cares deeply about providing a comfortable and stress-free experience for our guests. This is a part-time position with about 12-20hrs a week. Weekend hours required, and some holidays. Previous experience not required but preferred. Comfortable learning how to answer the phones and make reservations ideal.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Using critical thinking and consideration for the business’s best interests and safety of guests
• Performing additional tasks on the property grounds - walkways, stairs, lobby etc
• Performing regularly scheduled deep cleaning of rooms
• Taking inventory of housekeeping closets and supplies, organizing linens and noting any staining and tears accordingly
• Working independently but collaborating with a team
• Cleaning and organizing guest rooms to our high standards - neatly and tightly made beds, properly cleaned bathrooms that leave no hair, dust, or dirt behind, vacuuming and mopping floors, using cleaning products such as Tilex, Spic n’ Span and 7th Generation
• Providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a personable and friendly attitude

Requirements:

• Attention to detail - cleaning quality/maintenance (monitored by manager walkthroughs of rooms, guest reviews online and in person, survey completions, etc.)
• Interaction with guests - being personable and willing to assist
• Ability to lift 30lbs and handle tasks such as stocking products and shoveling walkways
• Passionate about maintaining the Inn’s high reputation for cleanliness and guest satisfaction
• Efficiency and time management and taking daily initiative on tasks
• Dependability - on time for shifts and work structure/organization based on reservations and business
• Available to work weekends and some holidays, available to work mornings

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: $14.00 per hour
