Company Description
Founded in 2021, Inward is a female-focused mental wellness platform. Our mission is to empower women to manage their own mental and emotional wellness. Healthcare and mental health was not built with women in mind. Globally, women are at double the risk of depression, anxiety, self-harm, PTSD, and a host of other disorders. Inward is building the go-to destination for female self-healing. We offer virtual therapeutic experiences and leverage peer-to-peer support to scale the traditional 1:1 therapy model through software.
The company is currently at pre seed stage and operates out of the Columbia Startup Lab in SoHo, NY as well as remotely.
Inward is looking for a highly motivated, very driven, and passionate Facilitator Intern. We are looking for someone to contribute to the growth of our company by leading various programs and group events centered around increasing knowledge on women’s wellness and promoting Inward. Additionally, the intern is tasked with increasing group progress through leading discussions. Applicants should be independent and strong communicators, as well as thrive in a startup environment. An interest and passion in psychology, mental and emotional health, and personal development are strongly preferred.
Duration
This internship begins as soon as possible and is intended to last for at least three months. Flexible on dates.
Responsibilities
- Steer conversations about the learning material
- Track attendees’ engagement with the content/program
- Engage in chat groups and create a supportive atmosphere
Qualifications
- Strong writing and verbal skills, creative, organized
- Students pursuing BA/BS preferred
- Experience in supporting others through difficult times in work or personal life preferred
- A good sense of empathy, emotional intelligence, and compassion
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships among participants
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a thirst to be a part of an early-stage company
- Strong active listening skills, ability to motivate others, and ability to bridge connections
- Interest and passion for psychology, mental and emotional health, and personal development
Additional Information
This is an unpaid internship with the potential of receiving a full or part-time offer. We offer a flexible schedule of 3-5 days/week with a minimum of 10-15 hours/week. Due to the current health concerns, we are offering Fully Remote Internships for all internship positions.
