Position Role Type:

External candidates will receive a $1,000 sign on bonus.

Onsite:

  • The work associated with this position will be performed onsite

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Understands welding theory.
  • Performs welding, soldering, and brazing on difficult production and prototype instrumentation piece parts.
  • Welds parts that meet drawing expectations.
  • Achieves certification on multiple welding processes, equipment, and materials.
  • Advises engineering on technical welding aspects of new units and fixtures including setups.
  • Proficiently uses computers tools such as SAP.
  • Participates in continuous improvement and waste minimization efforts.
  • Properly uses shop/hand tools, welding equipment and other equipment required to complete tasks.
  • Complies with applicable elements of quality systems.
  • Establishes and preserves documented welding procedures.
  • Completes other assembly work as required
  • Maintains knowledge of welding specifications.
  • Performs process inspections and audits.
  • Ensures attention to quality while meeting production schedules.
  • Maintains machine tools, welding equipment, and supplies.


Qualifications/Experience Needed:

  • Typically requires a High School Diploma or in the absence of a High School Diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • TIG welding experience preferred.
  • Brazing
  • Manufacturing background preferred.
  • Manual dexterity to perform tasks associated with welding.
  • Ability to learn how to read and understand prints.
