The Vice President of Manufacturing plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the manufacturing operations for our company's amenities programs on a global scale. This executive leadership position requires a strategic and hands-on approach to drive efficiency, quality, costs, and innovation throughout the manufacturing processes. Responsibilities include manufacturing strategy, contract manufacturer management, operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and budget management.
There are 5 direct reports and 120 indirect: three facilities: Two in New Jersey and one in Indiana.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Global Manufacturing Strategy:
Develop and execute a comprehensive manufacturing strategy aligned with the company's overall business objectives. Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost optimization, and scalability to meet the demands of a rapidly growing global market.
Contract Manufacturer Management:
Oversee relationships with contract manufacturers worldwide. Collaborate with suppliers to ensure adherence to quality standards, production timelines, and contractual agreements. Continuously evaluate and onboard new partners to expand manufacturing capabilities and enhance product offerings.
Global Operational Excellence:
Implement best practices and lean manufacturing principles to drive operational excellence across all owned and 3P manufacturing facilities. Perform desk and on-site audits of global 3P manufacturers. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure productivity, efficiency, and product quality, while proactively addressing any issues that may arise.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, quality standards, and industry certifications pertaining to global amenities manufacturing. Foster a culture of safety and sustainability in all manufacturing processes. Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with global R&D, product development, supply chain, and marketing teams to align global manufacturing capabilities with product innovation and market demands. Drive seamless integration of new product launches into manufacturing processes.
Talent Development:
Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of manufacturing professionals across different geographical locations. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement. Budget Management: Develop and manage the manufacturing budget, making strategic decisions to optimize resource allocation and maximize return on investment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education : Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering or a technical degree in a related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Master's degree in business administration preferred.
Experience:
• 12+ years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in a process-oriented operation and/or related industry.
• Global experience is required.
Professional Skills:
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, ISO 9001:2008 and KPI-driven management operating system.
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to mentor and develop individuals and teams.
• Able to engage and lead team discussions and meetings.
• Understands team dynamics and works well within a team structure.

• Recognizes and acknowledges the value others bring to the organization.

• Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
• Fact-based decision-making style and the type of senior executive who comes to the table with a pragmatic view of the marketplace and the opportunities within it, but who also recommends solutions at both a strategic and functional level.
• A mastery of organizational and project management skills, including the ability to plan, prioritize and execute multiple initiatives/deadlines autonomously and shift priorities as necessary.
