The Global Technology organization at Prudential is seeking a Vice President, Head of Information Security Office Operational Planning.
Reporting into the Global Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), this highly visible role will be responsible for connecting the Information Security Office (ISO) with Prudential's businesses and corporate functions, and technology teams to drive, articulate and continuously evolve a 'best in class' global information security program. This role partners across the ISO Leadership Team and Global Technology organization to enhance Information Security controls and implementations based on industry leading practice and threat landscapes. The role will lead solution design, program coordination/execution, awareness, business management and reporting of security effectiveness.
The team is looking for strategic leader with a global mindset and unique combination of skills: strong business acumen, a strategic and technical mindset, in-depth knowledge of information security technologies and trends, as well as the ability to influence cross-functionally.
Responsibilities
  • Partner and drive control decisions with technology architecture, engineering, and operations functions in non-standard situation requiring assessed non-standard solutions.
  • Monitor information security trends and evolving technologies; liaise with external partners, agencies and peers to ensure that the organization maintains a strong, proactive security stance.
  • Develop, design, and coordinate security requirements and defined outcomes for technical projects and associated budgets leveraging agile ways of working.
  • Proactively work across the organization to implement practices that meet defined policies and standards for information security, and a security position that matches the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Maintain the confidentiality, availability and integrity of sensitive data and the security of the assets of the company.
  • Provide regular and consistent reporting on the status of the information security program to enterprise risk teams, audit teams and senior business leaders.
  • Coordinate engagement with ISO Leadership Team including operating routines, operational reviews, business forums and budgeting.
  • Be an active and critical member of the ISO Leadership Team, bringing together key stakeholders to develop and review enterprise security strategies and roadmaps.
  • Support the CISO as a liaison on all relevant governance groups directing the overall information risk posture of the organization.
  • Responsible for assuring process effectiveness, measurement and optimization, including key metrics.
Qualifications
  • Certifications including CISM or CISSP are a plus.
  • Experience operating within a global enterprise ecosystem and bring in-depth understanding of how to properly secure a complex global environment
  • Extensive experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and allocation
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights
  • 10+ years’ experience leading global information security programs and applying information security, risk management and privacy practices
  • Strong business analysis skills, problem solving techniques, and follow-up
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty; the ability to adapt nimbly and lead others through complex situations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and experience presenting data to senior levels of management
  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field is a strong plus
  • Highly engaged and team-first leadership mentality
